Beaphar Mynah Granules are an extremely palatable, complete, premium food which has been specially formulated for mynah birds and other large insect-eating birds. The granules are pea-sized to ensure these birds can pick them up and ingest the food with ease. Beaphar Mynah Granules use an extruded all-in-one formulation to ensure each food granule contains the same composition, so preventing selective feeding. This means no food is wasted, everything is eaten and it helps to reduce watery droppings. Beaphar Mynah Granules provide a balanced ratio of carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals, and are perfectly adapted to meet your mynah or other insect-eating bird's nutritional requirements.

Instructions

ALWAYS FULLY READ THE PRODUCT PACKAGING BEFORE USE. When changing your bird onto a new food it is important to do this gradually over several days. If your bird is already on an extruded pellet or granule based diet, over a few days mix some old food in with Beaphar Mynah Granules to give your bird time to adjust to the new food. Alternatively, if you are changing your bird from a ground diet for softbill birds to a pelleted diet, this should be done over several weeks to ensure your bird accepts the new style of food. If you are unsure how to do this then please follow the schedule for transition below as a guide. The daily amount of Beaphar Mynah Granules to give is dependent upon the size of the bird, their level of activity, their housing, the temperature and weather conditions. Your bird is likely to naturally eat as much as they need. We advise you initially provide your bird with the same quantity of Beaphar Mynah Granules as you gave of the old food. If there is food left over at the end of the day, feed less, and if it’s readily consumed, feed more. Regularly check your bird’s weight to ensure you are feeding enough. Beaphar Mynah Granules are a complete food. However as a treat, fruit can be given in addition. Schedule for transition Week one: Feed approximately 25% of Beaphar Mynah Granules mixed with approximately 75% of their existing seed-based food. Week two: Feed approximately 50% of Beaphar Mynah Granules mixed with approximately 50% of their existing seed-based food. Week three: Feed approximately 75% of Beaphar Mynah Granules mixed with approximately 25% of their existing seed-based food. Week four: If your bird is happily eating Beaphar Mynah Granules then you can stop mixing their existing seed-based food in. For some birds you may need to continue the transition process for longer. Always have fresh drinking water available.
